KARACHI: A motorcyclist was killed when a container fell from a moving trailer at the Shershah bridge on Wednesday, police said.

SITE-B SHO Rao Shabbir said that the victim was identified as Abdul Kareem, 50. He was riding a motorcycle when the container that was ostensibly not properly locked fell on him from the moving trailer. He suffered critical injuries and was taken to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi where he died during treatment.

The officer said the errant driver sped away. He said a car was also damaged in the incident.
