KARACHI: Gas supply to all DHA phases, Defence View and adjoining areas remained suspended on Wednesday after the main supply line was damaged.

A Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) spokesperson said that the 24-inch supply line near Jam Sadiq Bridge in Korangi had been damaged during excavation for the Malir Expressway project.

He said that the SSGC’s teams had reached the site and repair work of the damaged line had been started to ensure that supply disruption does not persist for long.

Besides DHA, the gas supply was suspended in adjoining areas including Azam Basti, Akhtar Colony and Kashmir Colony.

The spokesperson said the repair work would be completed by the morning.
