CNS Golf starts today

ISLAMABAD: Seasoned campaigner Irtaza Hussain will defend his title at the 17th Chief of Naval Staff Amateur Golf Championship, which tees off here at the Margalla Greens Golf Club (MGGC) on Thursday.

Around 300 golfers will be seen in action during the Oct 31-Nov 3 event.

During the media briefing of the championship held here at the MGGC on Wednes­day, patron of Pakistan Navy Golf (North) Commodore Saqib Ilyas highlighted key aspects of the event.

According to Saqib, matches will be played in four major categories: men’s amateur, ladies’ amateur, seniors’ match, and juniors’ match. In addition to the main categories, an invitational match for guests and sponsors will also be held.
