RAWALPINDI: A man allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself over domestic unrest in the limits of Ratta Amral on Wednesday.

Police report suggested that Raza Abbas, a resident of Dhoke Hassu, allegedly shot and injured himself in his chest.

The injured was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, a woman and a man were shot and injured during a robbery attempt in Kachnar Park in I-9 sector.

Both the injured were shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) where they were stated to be in stable condition.

Police said the woman, 29, was passing through the park when she was intercepted by suspects who attempted to snatch her mobile phone and purse.

The woman was shot and injured when she offered resistance.

A young man who was also in the park tried to rescue the woman but he too was shot and injured by the robbers.
