NAROWAL: An overseas labourer was reportedly abducted by unknown suspects from Lahore Airport shortly after returning to Pakistan.

The man, who has now been missing for a month, had been living in Sharjah for the past year and a half for employment.

Muhammad Razzaq, a resident of Jammu Gate, Tehsil Zafarwal, filed a complaint with the police regarding his nephew, 31-year-old Arsalan Ishaq, who had been working abroad in Abu Dhabi.

Razzaq stated that Arsalan briefly visited Pakistan in August 2024 before returning to UAE. However, when Razzaq lost contact with his nephew 25 days ago, he reached out to Arsalan’s brother-in-law, Muhammad Kashif, who also resides in Abu Dhabi. Kashif confirmed that Arsalan had returned to Pakistan on Sept 28, 2024.

Razzaq further reported that according to Lahore Airport records, Arsalan arrived in Pakistan on Sept 28, and CCTV footage confirms he exited the airport. However, Arsalan had not informed any family member of his return and his whereabouts remain unknown, leading his family to believe he may have been abducted.

Lahore Sarwar Road police has registered a kidnapping case against unknown persons at Razzaq’s complaint.
