LAHORE: An exhibition of artworks by Amira Farooq opened at the Shakir Ali Museum on Friday.

The exhibition is being curated by Amna Masood, the programme organiser at the museum.

Amira Farooq was born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan. Trained at the NCA, she received her degree in Fine Arts from the department of printmaking of the college in 2004. Since 2006, she has been working as a full time visual artist. She has had multiple solo shows in Lahore and Karachi at some of the country’s most prestigious art galleries such as Nairang, The Taseer Gallery, The New Gallery, Zulfi’s Art Gallery, Color Gallery, Studio Seven and The Management House.

Ms Farooq has also participated in multiple group shows, including the 2018 Lahore Biennale, Al Hamra and Emotional Responses, a group show held at The Blackcat Gallery in Melbourne, Australia.

The exhibition will remain on display till Nov 5.
