LAHORE: The Punjab government has transferred Sports and Youth Affairs director-general Pervez Iqbal, appointing him as secretary of Mines and Minerals Department.

Director-General (Commodities) of the Price Control and Commodities Management Department, Muhammad Khizar Afzaal, was transferred and posted as DG of Sports and Youth Affairs.

OSD retired Flt-Lt Imran Qureshi was appointed as DG of the Price Control and Commodities Management Department.

DG Excise and Taxation, Punjab, retired Capt Farrukh Atique Khan, was transferred and posted as DG of the Punjab Enforcement Regulatory Authority (PERA) to fill a vacant post.

Additional Secretary (Coordination) to the Chief Secretary, Muhammad Umer Sher, was transferred and posted as DG Excise and Taxation, Punjab. Mr Sher was also assigned the additional charge of AS (Coordination) to the chief secretary, in addition to his own duties.

The government also transferred AS of the Finance Department, Shahid Mehmood, appointing him as AS (Coordination) to the chief secretary.
