Sports festival concludes in Wana

SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: A month-long sports festival concluded in Wana FC Stadium here on Saturday.

FC South Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the sports department organised the event.

The festival included various sports competitions such as football, volleyball, tug-of-war, traditional dance and cricket matches.

The final of football was played between Wazir Club of Lower South Waziristan and Shaheen Club of Upper South Waziristan.

The Wazir Club won the match by four goals.

The festival was aimed to promote sports in both the Lower South Waziristan and Upper South Waziristan districts, and provide a platform to young talent to shine.

Commandant South Waziristan Scouts Mohammad Tahir was the chief guest accompanied by Wana tehsil council chairman Maulana Mohammad Saleh Wazir and tribal elders.
