TAXILA: A driver was killed and a bus employee injured critically when their vehicle rammed into a truck on Hakla-D.I. Khan Motorway near Hakla Interchange in the early hours of Sunday.

According to Rescue 1122 and National Highway and Motorway Police officials, the Rawalpindi-bound passenger bus coming from Mianwali crashed into a truck after the bus driver fell asleep on the wheel.

As a result, 24-year-old Mohammad Akmal died on the spot and his body was retrieved after three hours of hectic efforts. On the other hand, 22 years old Siraj Din, a crew member, was injured critically. Later the injured and body were shifted to a local hospital.
