Woman tortured to death by husband, in-laws

OKARA: A woman was allegedly tortured to death by her husband and in-laws at Khalid Town in the city on Sunday.

As per first information report (FIR) registered by Muhammad Iqbal, a resident of Kasur, received a phone call from his son-in-law Imran who informed him that his daughter, Amna, had expired.

Iqbal and his relatives reached Okara. They found clear marks of torture on body of Amna. They called police on 15 and policemen reached Amna’s house and launched legal proceedings.

City B-Division police registered a case against victim Amna s’ husband Imran, her mother-in-law Surraya and her husband’s uncle, Sadiq.

The FIR does not mention the cause of alleged murder.
