LOWER DIR: University of Malakand syndicate approved the promotion of 45 faculty members and administrative officers to next grades, said a press release issued on Sunday.

It said that Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Rashid Ahmad presided over the syndicate’s 57th and 58th meetings, which were held simultaneously in the varsity’s committee room.

Following extensive deliberation and consideration of the board’s recommendations, the forum authorised the promotion of current faculty members and administrative officers as well as the hiring of new faculty members.

Speaking at the meeting, the VC stressed that the university worked to maintain the high

standards of education and that the complaints of all parties involved would be gradually resolved to guarantee equality.

In addition to congratulating the promoted teachers and administrative officers, he expressed his hope that they would all continue to provide high-quality work, the statement concluded.
