PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) collected Rs14.84 billion on account of sales tax on services and Infrastructure Development Cess (IDC) in the first four months of the ongoing financial year 2024-25, marking a 40pc growth compared to the same period last year.
A statement issued here on Sunday said that the authority collected Rs11.25 billion from the sales tax on services as compared to Rs9.3 billion collected last year (FY24).
KPRA collected Rs3.59 billion on account of IDC as compared to Rs1.28 billion collected in FY24.
This reflected a 21pc growth in sales tax on services and 180pc growth in IDC year-on-year.
KPRA director general Fouzia Iqbal appreciated the authority’s efforts and expressed confidence that with continued efforts, not only would the annual target be met, but it would be surpassed by a significant margin.
“If we continue with our current approach, we will exceed this year’s target,” she said. She said that the provincial government’s support was instrumental in developing effective strategies for achieving its targets.
