ISLAMABAD: The capital police on Monday said it achieved a significant success in the recent bank robbery cases with the arrest of a suspect involved in the crime.

DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza announced the development at a press conference at Rescue 15 office.

He said the suspect was apprehended along with the snatched cash, weapons, ammunition and the motorcycle used in the crime.

“Police teams led by CIA and CTD worked tirelessly for five days to track down the accused namely Sulaiman. Utilising human resources, Safe City cameras, digital surveillance and data analysis, they successfully located and arrested the individual.”

The DIG noted that the suspect had previously been charged in Punjab for similar offenses. He said the police were responsible for the security of every citizen, home and office in the capital.

In recognition of their dedication, IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi announced rewards for the police teams involved in the operation.
