RAWALPINDI: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi on Monday caught nine students cheating in the paper of the intermediate second annual examination.

According to BISE Rawalpindi spokesman Arslan Cheema, Controller Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan caught red-handed the nine candidates.

He said five candidates were caught at Government Girls Higher Secondary School No 1, Bagh Sardaran, two at Government Islamia High School No 4 Liaquat Road and one each at Government High School DAV College Road Rawalpindi, Government Graduate College Satellite Town.

Unfair means cases were registered against the nine candidates and sent to the Discipline Branch of the board for further action.

“By adopting a strict strategy against cheating in exams, we will provide better environment for all students.” He said BISE Chairman Mohammad Adnan Khan visited various examination centres and inspected CCTV cameras, security arrangements and attendance of staff.
