DERA GHAZI KHAN: The government has launched a programme to distribute free cattle to widows and divorced women living in rural areas of south Punjab, including Dera Ghazi Khan Division. Online applications are now open.

Director of Livestock Dr Ghulam Nizamuddin said that facility desks have been set up in all veterinary hospitals across the division, where trained staff are assisting women in submitting applications through a designated app.

For those unable to use the app, an alternative method is available: applicants can send an SMS with “PLC (space) ID card number” to 8070. Additional information can be obtained by visiting the nearest veterinary hospital or calling the helpline at 0800-09211.

The deadline to apply for this programme is Nov 10, 2024.
