TAXILA: Armed men robbed an overseas Pakistani on Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M-1) near Burhan toll plaza in the limits of Hassanabdal police station.

He was deprived of foreign currency, gold ornaments, mobile phone sets and other valuables while travelling towards his village in KP after landing at Islamabad airport.

Muddassir Zareem, a resident of Razzar area of Swabi, was driving his friend Sadeeq Ahmed home. They stopped near Burhan interchange after hearing a loud sound from their vehicle. As they disembarked to inspect, three armed men surrounded them and robbed them of Rs200,000 cash, three phones and a bag filled with valuables.

The Hassanabdal police registered a case and started raids to arrest the suspects.
