ABBOTTABAD: The police recovered the bodies of an elderly man and his wife, who had gone missing in August this year, from a well in Havelian area here on Saturday.

According to the police, both the man and his wife were reported missing and a FIR was registered on the complaint of a brother-in-law of the deceased woman on August 15, 2024.

After passage of three months, the police arrested a son of the missing couple along with his friend, who during interrogation, admitted to knowing their whereabouts.

Later, the police recovered the bodies from the well after four hours of search. The deceased were identified as Syed Aman Ali Shah, 75, and his wife, Javeria Bibi, 55.
