Stray bullet kills eight-year-old Karachi boy

KARACHI: A stray bullet killed a minor boy in the Scheme-33 area within the remit of the Sachal police station on Sunday evening, police said.

The station house officer (SHO) Aurangzeb Khattak said that Abdullah Ali Memon, 8, was playing in the courtyard of his house in Abdullah Shah Ghazi Goth when a bullet fired from an unknown direction hit him in the head.

He said he suffered a critical injury and was rushed to the nearby private hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

He said that the police were investigating the incident.
