GUJRANWALA: Punjab Health Minister Khwaja Imran Nazir on Sunday suspended the Hafizabad health chief executive officer over alleged mismanagement and irregularities.

Report said the minister visited the Hafizabad DHQ Hospital on various complaints of mismanagement and irregularities in local purchase (LP) medicines and suspended CEO Health Dr. Umar Sharif Rathore and instructed him to report immediately to the health department.

The provincial health minister expressed strong displeasure over the hospital’s administrative issues and ordered an audit of the LP medicines record for the past three months.

Following the minister’s directive, the health secretary issued a notification of suspension of Dr. Umar Sharif Rathore.
