PM Shehbaz Sharif has called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza while speaking at the Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh. He also called for the immediate lifting of the siege of Gaza by Israel and an arms embargo on Israel.

“We must not let this systematic genocide and aggression persist. Therefore, this conference must call for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire; imposing an immediate arms embargo on Israel; and lifting Israel’s blockade of Gaza.”

He concluded his statement by calling for swift action to uphold justice and dignity for the people of Palestine.
