KARACHI: After the PTI, the opposition Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has also demanded deployment of Rangers at all polling stations in the metropolis to minimise chances of rigging.

Speaking at a press conference, JI-Karachi chief Monem Zafar accused the Pakistan People Party government in Sindh of trying to rig the by-elections.

He said that out of the total 166 polling stations in Karachi, only 26 have been declared ‘very sensitive’. He demanded that all polling stations be declared ‘very sensitive’.

Earlier, the PTI had written a letter to election authorities and demanded that Rangers be deployed inside and outside all polling stations.
