Killer of teacher arrested in Bara

KHYBER: The police claim to have arrested the killer of a retired schoolteacher from Jamrud within the 24 hours of his murder.

A statement issued from the office of the district police officer on Friday said that a police team led by SP investigations Roohul Amin tracked down the culprit while using modern technology.

He was identified as Asif. He had kidnapped the teacher, Habibullah, 10 days ago over a monetary dispute.

He then stabbed the teacher to death with a knife and dumped his body in a deserted place in Gandaw area of Bara.

The police recovered his body on Thursday.

The police said that the arrested man was shifted to Jamrud lock-up and a murder case was registered against him.
