Mardan residents resent excessive power cuts, encroachments

MARDAN: People complained about excessive electric loadshedding, traffic congestion and encroachments in the city bazaars during a khuli kutchery convened here on Friday.

Deputy commissioner Dr Azmatullah Wazir presided over the event held under the Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s Awami Agenda.

The participants also complained about increasing use of ice drug.

After listening to the problems of the people, the deputy commissioner issued directives to the departments concerned to resolve the issues at the earliest.

The deputy commissioner also suspended a patwari of Lundkhwar circle on the complaint of an elderly man, and ordered an inquiry against him.

Similarly, he directed to immediately resolve the property case of a woman of Mardan Khas.

On public complaints, the deputy commissioner announced to launch a vigorous campaign against drugs, especially ice, in the district, and said that drug dealers would be brought to book with the support of citizens.
