Two killed as van overturns

NAWABSHAH: Two passengers were killed and eight others were injured when a van overturned after its tyre burst near Bandhi down along Mehran Highway on Monday.

The van coming from Bandhi was on its way to Sukkur when it overturned at Khanan stop.

The deceased were identified as Maula Bakhsh and Mr Ilyas who were sitting on the rooftop of the van.

Man shot dead

A man was shot dead during a clash between rival groups belonging to the Syed and Mangwana communities within the jurisdiction of the Nasiri police station near Qazi Ahmed town on Monday.

The victim, Shams Mangwana suffered fatal bullet wounds in the clash over ownership of a piece of agricultural land.
