THIS is with reference to the report ‘Dutch authorities scramble to protect Israeli football fans after clashes’ (Nov 9) about the violence which erupted in Amsterdam around a Europa League football match between local club Ajax and Israel’s Maccabi Tel Aviv. As always, Israel and its supporters in the latest espisode tried to dupe the world into believing they were the victims of violence.

The fact is that Western media outlets are trying to hide the violence carried out by the Maccabi fans, who are notorious for being violent thugs. Over a 100 Maccabi supporters have links to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), and many more are plainly and simply goons inspired by the most evil army in the world that kills women and children as a strategy.

Among some exceptions in the Western media is Deutsche Welle, which exposed in its fact-check report that Maccabi supporters were actually seen chasing and attacking local pro-Palestine fans, and not the other way round as was being falsely claimed by several Western media outlets.

These thugs took to the streets of Amsterdam and chanted ‘Let the IDF win’ slogans while using expletives for Arabs before going on a rampage, attacking people, damaging properties, and burning Palestinian flags.

What is more shocking is that the Dutch police scrambled to ‘protect’ the hoodlums, and arrested pro-Palestine fans, as can be seen in the accompanying image showing policemen dealing aggressively with people who gathered at the Dam Square for a pro-Palestine protest in Amsterdam.

Several European governments also jumped onto the bandwagon, supporting the utter harassment of the Arabs. The European leaders ignored the fact that it was their countrymen who were at the receiving end of Ashkenazi barbarism.

Moreover, European governments are active contributors to the ongoing genocide in Palestine even when people in Europe are demanding their governments to end all ties with the genocidal regime.

The genocidal regime in Israel has convinced the governments in Europe of the ‘need’ to bully their own countrymen who support the Palestinians. How the saner elements in Europe will deal with this evolving situation is not quite clear.
