SUKKUR: Two out of four suspected thieves, who suffered severe burns while trying to steal high transmission lines’ cables from Guddu thermal power station three days back, succumbed to their wounds on Wednesday.

Sources said that four men sneaked into the power station and were allegedly cutting the high tension wire when it suddenly caught fire and left them seriously injured. They were shifted to a Multan hospital where Abdul Sattar Shar and Saifullah Malik died today, they said.

Meanwhile, the bereaved families alleged that power station’s security officers had killed their men.
