Rawalpindi college student shot dead

RAWALPINDI: A college student was allegedly gunned down by his friend in the Race Course police station area on Thursday.

Qasir Mehmood, a resident of Railway Scheme 7, complained to the police that his nephew Tayyab Faisal who was a student of first year was sitting with his family in his house when his friend called him in Westridge.

After sometime it was informed that Tayyab Faisal had been shot and injured and was lying in the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ).

As they reached the hospital, they found Tayyab had already expired.

He suspected his friend might have killed Tayyab Faisal.

The police said that a case had been registered after the post-mortem of the deceased was carried out at the DHQ hospital and the investigation was launched.
