PESHAWAR: A Federal Board of Revenue officer allegedly killed an Afghan national outside the Customs office on busy University Road on Thursday, police said.
Nihad, a police officer at Town police station said that according to the FIR lodged by the relatives of the slain Afghan national, Abdul Rehman, the FBR’s additional commissioner Irfan called Rehman for a meeting to resolve a dispute over a car, adding that Irfan opened fire at Rehman outside the Customs office.
The police officer said that Irfan and his son, who was sitting in another car, were arrested and an investigation was launched into the incident.
