Two get death sentence in murder case

TAXILA: A local court on Friday sentenced two murder convicts to death in a robbery-cum-murder case.

According to the FIR registered under sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), the accused identified as Ghulam Abbas and Ghulam Rabbani shot dead a man during robbery and fled away.

Later Taxila police traced the suspects and submitted challan in the court. During the trial, the prosecution produced substantial evidence against the accused, which established their involvement in the murder of a man.

The court sentenced both convicts to death and also imposed a fine of Rs500,000.
