MUZAFFARGARH: The funeral of police constable Mubashar Bilal, who was martyred during violence in Rawalpindi on Monday, will be offered at his native Basti Sohrani on Tuesday (today).
Mubashar Bilal (46) is survived by his widow, two daughters and a son. His children are Tayyaba (15), Anas (13) and Mah Noor (11). Bilal was a resident of Muzaffargarh and had joined the police force in 2012.
He was stationed at Shah Jamal police station but had been deputed to Islamabad, where he was martyred during an attack during the PTI agitation.
According to sources, Bilal was martyred on the spot during the violence caused by miscreants at the Rawalpindi Interchange. His family confirmed his death and announced that his funeral prayers would be held on Tuesday. Condolences have poured in from politicians and officials for the bereaved family.
District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Hasnain Haider lauded his sacrifice, stating that the police force would never hesitate from fulfilling their duties, even at the cost of their lives. He assured Bilal’s family of the police department’s full support during their time of grief.
Bilal’s mother and wife are both battling cancer, adding to the family’s struggles. His untimely death has left his colleagues and community mourning the loss of a dedicated officer who served with honour and courage.
