Two children hurt as rocket shell goes off in Waziristan

SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Two children suffered injuries when a live rocket shell they were playing with exploded in Raghzai area of Birmal tehsil of Lower South Waziristan district on Wednesday.

The injured children were identified as 10-year-old Imdadullah and 12-year-old Munir Wazir.

According to reports, the children found the rocket shell in a drain and started playing with it.

It exploded with a bang, injuring both the children.

They were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Wana, wherefrom they were referred to DHQ Hospital in Dera Ismail Khan in precarious condition.

Deputy medical superintendent of Wana Hospital Dr Fazal Shahab said that the children had received critical injuries.
