LAHORE: Two minor students were shot at and injured allegedly by an unidentified man at a primary school in Chuhng area here on Wednesday.

Adeel (11) and Ali 12 were playing in the ground of the Government Dena Nath Primary School when they got bullet shots.

Initial police inquiries suggested that the children suffered bullet injuries in the chest and face. They were rushed to the Jinnah Hospital where both of them underwent minor surgical procedures.

A police official said some local residents spotted an armed man who opened fire which led to the injuries to the children. However, he said, the motive behind the firing was unknown.

A police team has been constituted to trace and arrest the suspect, he said adding that further investigations were underway.
