Transgender person gunned down in Mardan

MARDAN: A transgender person was gunned down by unknown armed persons in Par Hoti area on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.

The officials of Par Hoti Police station said that the person was identified as Salman alias Anjum. Abdur Rehman, brother of the slain transgender, while lodging FIR in Par Hoti police station said that the deceased was present in his residence located in Niher Chowk when unidentified armed men opened fire on the victim, who died instantly.

The victim was hailing from Mulyanu Killy Ganjai locality of tehsil Takhtbai. Mr Rehman told police that they had no enmity with anybody.

The police registered an FIR against unknown killers and launched an investigations into the case.
