MUZAFFARGARH: The Forest Department reclaimed 60 acres of state land during an operation led by District Forest Officer (DFO) Rashid Mahmood in Bait Diwan.

The land, occupied by mafias for years, had been used for illegal crop cultivation.

Accompanied by police personnel, the DFO supervised the destruction of the illegally grown crops and vowed to intensify efforts to reclaim encroached government land.

Speaking about the operation, DFO Mahmood said the reclaimed land falls under the Katcha area, across the river.

He assured that similar actions will continue daily, particularly in the Alipur range, to restore government forest land.
