Fugitive repatriated from KSA

GUJRAT: The Gujranwala police on Monday claimed to have arrested a fugitive after getting him repatriated from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

A spokesman for Gujranwala police says that the suspect, Zeeshan, was wanted in a number of cases of heinous crimes, including extortion, but he fled the country and started living in Saudi Arabia.

However, special operations cell of the district police initiated the procedure for his arrest, for which red warrants were got issued through Interpol.

He added that a team comprising officials of special cell had finally arrested him in Saudi Arabia and brought him to Pakistan.

The further investigation into the cases lodged against the suspect has also been started by the concerned police stations of the district.
