KARACHI: Wapda emerged as champions of the National Men’s Netball Championship, defeating Pakistan Navy 20-17 in the final here at the PSB Coaching Centre on Tuesday.

The closely contested match saw both teams pushing each other continuously in the first quarter, ending 7-7. Navy took a slender lead in the second quarter, but Wapda fought back to take control in the third quarter, outscoring Navy 7-2. Wapda held their nerve in the final quarter to secure a thrilling 20-17 victory.

Mohammad Zain, Samad Masood, Umair Hussain and Mansoor Kham were the prominent performers in the final.

Earlier, in the third-place match, Police edged out Sindh 16-15. The final ranking saw Wapda take the top spot, followed by Navy, Police and Sindh.
