PESHAWAR: Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday held ‘open day’ at Governor’s House to address problems of people on priority basis. He said that ‘open day’ would be held three times in a month, within every 10 days.

The event was attended by people and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) provincial president Mohammad Ali Shah Bacha, secretary coordination Farzand Ali Wazir, deputy general secretary Abrar Saeed Swati and Peshawar division president Misbahuddin.

The governor said that the initiative was taken to facilitate direct communication between the provincial leadership and people. He said that during “open day”, he and PPP provincial leadership would meet people and party workers at Governor’s House to listen to their concerns, complaints and work for resolving the same.

He also acknowledged the longstanding issues and challenges faced by PPP workers, which led to the decision to hold “open day”.

Meanwhile, in a separate meeting, he discussed the role of Young Parliamentarians Forum of Pakistan in shaping the country’s future leadership.

He held the meeting with delegation of Young Parliamentarians of Pakistan at Governor’s House. The delegation was led by Member of National Assembly Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar.

The forum, comprising members from different political parties, is meant to provide guidance on various issues and offer training to new members. The governor highlighted the forum’s significant role in connecting young politicians and providing a platform to them to contribute to country.

He discussed the province’s ongoing challenges with the delegation and shared insights on the factors contributing to the current situation. He expressed hope for the active participation of young parliamentarians in representing youth and addressing the province’s issues in the national parliament.

Similarly, MPA Iqbal Wazir and former MPA of ANP Salahuddin and a delegation of Peoples Lawyers Forum led by Mohim Afridi called on the governor.

During the meetings, the members of the delegations exchanged views on various matters with him. The governor assured them to resolve their problems on priority basis.
