LAHORE: Punjab Inspector General of Police Dr Usman Anwar has announced a Hard Area Risk Allowance for officers and personnel stationed in Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhakkar and Mianwali border areas.

Under the initiative, 1,162 officers and personnel will receive a sum of Rs323 million.

According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, the approval for 565 officers and personnel of DG Khan police deployed in the border areas is Rs138.9 million.

Similarly, 134 officers and personnel of Bhakkar police will receive Rs33.31 million, while 562 officers and personnel of Mianwali police will be granted Rs150.83 million.

A DSP will receive Rs40,000, upper subordinate Rs25,000, lower subordinates Rs20,000 and class four employees will receive Rs18,000 per month.

Dr Anwar said the allowance would boost the morale of the police force stationed in difficult areas.
