ANF seizes over 1,100kg of drugs in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), while conducting four operations, seized over 1,184kg drugs worth Rs80 million and arrested three suspects, including a woman, an ANF headquarters spokesman said on Saturday.

He said that in an operation, 1,140kg hashish was seized in Qilla Abdullah in Balochistan. In the second operation, 27.6kg opium and 13.2kg hashish were recovered from a vehicle intercepted near Phoolnagar Bypass, Kasur and an accused arrested.

In the third operation, 2.4kg hashish was recovered from a motorcyclist near Tarnol in Islamabad.

Similarly, in the fourth operation, 1kg heroin was recovered from the possession of a woman rounded up near Sangjani toll plaza in Islamabad.

The spokesman said cases have been registered against the suspects under the Narcotics Control Act and further investigations were under process.
