KHYBER: The newly formed Bara Citizens Journalists Forum (BCJF) resolved to enhance their professionalism and efficiency by establishing a structured organisational framework and implementing standard operating procedures to guide their operations.
During a meeting held on Sunday, members discussed developing a cohesive strategy to build their capacity and reviewed the significant progress made on key issues to strengthen their work and impact on the local community.
The meeting, chaired by Mohammad Younas, an experienced trainer and communications practitioner, was attended by active members, including Sadiq Khan, Mohammad Islam, Mohsin Khan, Abdur Raziq, and Saleh Khan. The participants outlined plans to organise training sessions focused on safety and security, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building for journalists in the region.
The citizen journalists also reaffirmed their commitment to ethical journalism, constructive engagement, and raising awareness on critical issues through accurate and impactful reporting.
