OPTIC FIBRE CABLE: Elders and social activists from Timergara city urged the federal government and senior officials of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) to lay optic fibre cables in the city to improve internet speed and other services.
Speaking to local journalists, area elders including Mohammad Ishaq, Noor Rehman, Akbar Khan, and others expressed concerns that Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited users had been facing numerous problems in this digital era of communication.
The elders said that users had become fed up with the decades-old fibre cables, which were causing frequent internet breakdowns.
They mentioned that despite repeated contacts and demands, local PTCL officials had done nothing to address their concerns.
The elders added that Timergara city had become a hub of educational institutions and private hostels, yet students were facing difficulties in accessing online information due to slow internet speeds.
