Drug addict kills three of his family in Karak

LAKKI MARWAT: A drug addict killed three members of his family and injured four others in Karak district on Tuesday.

The police said the incident occurred in Malang Baba Colony. They said Mohammad Faizan had been arrested and the weapon used in the crime recovered.

Mohammad Salman, a brother of the killer, reported to the police that he and other family members were preparing for the morning prayer when Faizan entered the house and attacked his father, Karim Shah, 70, brother, Mohammad Noman, 48, and niece Samreen, 17, daughter of Noman, with a dagger.

Salman said he along with other family members tried to overpower him but he stabbed and injured his other brother, Mohammad Irfan, sister-in-law Tahira Jabeen, wife of Noman, and Aiman and Sameera, also daughters of Noman.

The complainant said his father and brother, Noman died instantly, while Samreen was pronounced dead in hospital.

The police said the bodies and the injured were shifted to hospital.

They said the killer had been arrested and a case registered against him.

Meanwhile, unknown assailants killed a teenage girl inside her house in Garera Shah Jehan area of Bannu district on Monday night.

The police identified the deceased as Baswa Bibi, 18, and said her body was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital.

They said the police registered a case against the alleged killers on the complaint of Zeeshan, a cousin of the slain girl.

Separately, a boy was shot dead over a dispute in Azad Mandi Mamandkhel area of Bannu.

The police said Sanaullah and Rehmzada attacked Faheemulah, 22, with their weapons, killing him on the spot.

In another incident, Najeebullah, 30, lost his life over a murder enmity in Bannu city.
