LAKKI MARWAT: The police arrested two persons for assaulting a teenage boy during a raid in Jabukhel area of Lakki Marwat district on Wednesday.

The police said on Dec 6, Qismatullah and Naimatullah assaulted a 13-year-old boy at gunpoint near the village and also filmed the crime.

They said the victim was present near his house when the suspects came there on a motorcycle and forcibly took him away. They said the men also threatened to shoot the boy and his father if he narrated the ordeal to his parents.

The police said the incident came to light when the suspects uploaded the video clip on social media.

The victim told the police that on Dec 11, the suspects shared the video on social media. He said delay in reporting the matter was because he faced threats from the accused.

The police registered a case against the suspects under relevant sections of Pakistan Penal Code and Child Protection Act on Dec 12 and launched a search for them.

They said on Wednesday, a party of Ghaznikhel police station raided a place in Jabukhel area and arrested both of them. The police seized two AK-47 assault rifles and ammunition from the arrested men.
