RAHIM YAR KHAN: Shaikh Zayed Medical College Hospital Principal Prof Dr Muhammad Saleem Laghari formed an inquiry committee on Wednesday to look into the alleged negligence in handling an HIV patient.

An official letter dated Dec 18 (Wednesday) quoting a Dawn report published on Wednesday -- Another case of Negligence in Treatment of HIV patient surfaces at Rahim Yar Khan Sheikh Zayed Hospital -- says “An Inquiry Committee is being formed comprising of the following officers of Shaikh Zayed Medical College/Hospital Rahim Yar Khan to inquire into the matter and submit complete report within three days positively.”

The letter further says that Professor and Head of Medicine Department Dr Akmal Hussain will be convener, Associate Prof and Head of Urology Department Dr Syed Atif Hussain and APWMO/AMS (General Procurement) Dr Ambreen Bhatti will be members of the committee.
