ACID ATTACK: Judge Ziaullah Khan granted a three-day physical remand for suspect Ali Naseem, while sending his sister to judicial remand at Central Prison, Sahiwal, on Wednesday.
The suspects are alleged to have thrown acid on their neighbour Rubina in an act of revenge.
The incident reportedly occurred because Rubina had objected to male members of Naseem’s family using the shared rooftop without prior notice. Out of grudge, three of Naseem’s siblings - Ali, Uzma, and Saqib - allegedly carried out the acid attack in village 23/SP.
The case was registered on the complaint of Rubina’s son Muhammad Husnain under section 336 of the Pakistan Penal Code at Chak Badian Police Station, Tehsil Pakpattan. The suspects would be presented before the judge on Dec 21.
