KARACHI: The Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and leader of the Pakistan Haj delegation, Maulana Kausar Niazi, yesterday [Dec 18] asked members of the delegation to project Pakistan’s efforts in promoting the cause of Islam and the Islamic World. Addressing them on the eve of their departure for the holy land at the Chief Minister’s House … the Maulana said that they were the ambassadors of Pakistan and that they should highlight the sincere and devoted efforts being made by the People’s Government for the cause of our Arab brethren.

Pakistan … had been pleading the cause of Islamic World with utmost dedication in national and international forums. This point should be brought to the notice of other countries’ Haj delegations and prominent Ulema and pilgrims with whom they come in contact during their stay in the holy land. According to the programme, the leader of the delegation would call on King Faisal on Eid day to offer Eid greetings. He would also call on the King to discuss matters of mutual interest. The leader of the delegation, Maulana Niazi said, was included in the team organised by the Saudi Government for Ghusl-i-Kaaba.
