Spice factory sealed

TOBA TEK SINGH: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed a spices packing factory on Dijkot Road, Faisalabad, and seized 3,750kg of hazardous monosodium glutamate, commonly known as China salt.

A truck loaded with the banned substance was also confiscated.

Police have been requested to register a case against the factory owner.

COURT: Faisalabad Additional District and Sessions Judge Sajeeda Akhtar sentenced Qaiser Abbas to death for the murder of his wife, Sumaira Bibi, in on Sahianwala, Chak Jhumra, over a domestic dispute a year ago. A fine of Rs200,000 was also imposed.
