MUZAFFARGARH: A female social media activist was allegedly assaulted at gunpoint by a suspect in Layyah on Friday.

Layyah City Police have registered a case against the suspect and his four accomplices under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), the armed suspect, accompanied by four others, allegedly assaulted the woman, who has a significant following on the social media platform TikTok.

However, the suspect has denied the allegations, calling them baseless and fabricated.

The aunt of the alleged survivor, who filed the complaint, claimed that her niece was alone at home when five men entered the house, and one of them assaulted her.

KILLED: A dispute between two groups escalated into violence outside the court of Karor Lal Eesan on Friday, leaving one man dead and two others seriously injured.

Muhammad Idrees, of 238 TDA, died on the spot after being stabbed during the altercation.

The injured, Niaz Muhammad and Muhammad Riaz, were taken to Karor Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for treatment.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

Sources said the clash stemmed from a land dispute between the two groups, which was already under litigation at Fatehpur police station.

Suspects Abdul Rauf and Bilal, who allegedly killed Muhammad Idrees in front of the court, were arrested on the spot by the elite force and handed over to the police.
