ISLAMABAD: Senator Capt Shaheen Khalid Butt has officially assumed his responsibilities as Pakistan Baitul Mal managing director, vowing to intensify efforts to alleviate poverty and serve the nation’s underprivileged.

On his first day in office, Senator Captain Butt chaired a meeting with senior officers of the institution, receiving a comprehensive briefing on current public-welfare initiatives. Praising the organisation’s commitment to supporting marginalised communities, he expressed his determination to build on these efforts and make a lasting impact.

“It is both an honour and a great responsibility to lead this esteemed public welfare institution,” Senator Captain Butt remarked.

“I am committed to selflessly serving the suffering and deprived people of our country and fulfilling the trust placed in me by the prime minister,” he said.

Capt Shaheen Khalid Butt further pledged to steer Pakistan Baitul Mal towards more effective poverty eradication strategies, ensuring the institution’s initiatives reach those most in need.
