LOWER DIR: Jamaat-i-Islami KP (North) chief Inayatullah Khan alleged that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur had shelved development projects for Malakand divisions that were approved by former chief minister Mahmood Khan.

He was addressing an oath-taking ceremony at Gulabad Adenzai on Saturday. The newly-elected Jamaat-i-Islami leaders and workers from all districts, including former MNAs Maulana Asadullah, Sahibzada Tariqullah, Sahibzada Yaqub Khan, Abdul Akbar Chitrali, Syed Bakhtiar Maani, and others, were also present at the occasion.

Mr. Inayatullah said that Jamaat-i-Islami believed in serving the people without discrimination based on colour, race, or creed, and regardless of power or position. He added that the party would raise its voice for the rights of the oppressed people of Palestine and Syria on every front.

Terming the federal and provincial governments as incompetent, he stated that the country was in decline, with millions of people forced to go abroad due to the economic crisis and the lack of a clear successor for the country.

“The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has been in power in the province for the past 13 years, yet the province is indebted to the tune of Rs 1000 billion,” the JI leader said, adding that the rulers were turning a blind eye to the people’s problems by focusing solely on holding sit-ins.

PROTEST CALLED OFF: The protesting paramedics announced the end of their protest after successful talks with the local administration and MPA Ubaidur Rehman.

The protest was against the administration for allegedly misbehaving with paramedical staff at Samarbagh. Assistant Commissioner Zeeshan Najib and MPA Ubaidur Rehman held talks with the protesting staff and successfully convinced them to end their protest.

Speaking on the occasion the district president of paramedical association Matiullah said that the health workers would never tolerate any discriminatory attitude of the administration.
